Le Cirque Barbette est basé à Bruxelles et a été fondé par Rosa Matthis, artiste de cirque suédoise, en 2010.

Spécialisée dans le fil, elle invite à partager son toit pour y créer ensemble avec des autres artistes, sur et en dehors de la scène.

Certains y font des visites ponctuelles, d’autres y restent tels les piliers d’une petite tribu urbaine. Ils partagent tous un intérêt particulier pour l’image, l’abstrait et l’humain : son monde et ses interstices.

La compagnie compte à ce jour 3 créations de solo sur fil : ICI, Wasteland et cqfd ?.

Wasteland et cqfd ? sont actuellement en tournée.

Cirque Barbette is based in Brussels and was founded in 2010 by Rosa Matthis, a Swedish circus artist.

Specialized in the slack rope, she invites to share her roof in order to create together with other artists, on and off the space of the stage.

Some will make occasional visits, and others will stay like pillars in a small urban tribe. They all share a particular interest in the image, the abstract and the human: our world with its interstices.

The company currently has three solo creations: ICI, Wasteland and QED?
