La compagnie HOPLA CIRCUS, formée par six anciens étudiants de l'École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque de Bruxelles (ESAC), n'en est pas à son coup d'essai.

Elle pratique l'art de la bascule et de la banquine depuis 2001. Le numéro "Banquinus Magnificus" (2004) et le spectacle "La Familia Rodríguez" (2005), ont soulevé la ferveur internationale, grâce à un aplomb hispano-délirant qui a sûrement participé au retour de la mode de la chemise à jabots.

Aujourd'hui, la compagnie invite de nouveaux artistes de nationalités, personnalités et spécialités variées dans sa dernière création "FACE TO FAKE", un mélange de cirque, catch et clown.

Comprising six former students of the Superior Circus School of Brussels (ESAC), Hopla Circus practices the art of teeter board and banquine since 2001.

In June 2004, as part of their finals, the Hopla students created two performances which earned them the Honours of the Jury: "La Familia Rodríguez" (teeter board), and "Banquinus Magnificus" (banquine). Among others, they were granted the "Special Prize of the Jury" and the "SACD Award" at the "Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain" in Paris, France.

In April 2005, the company started to work on a longer version of "La Familia Rodríguez" suited for street performances combining teeter board, banquine and magic. This show gained a big international success thanks to its Latin vibration and its goofy and touching characters. 

Today, the company welcomes artists from various nationalities, personalities and varied specialties in their latest creation, "FACE TO FAKE" (Hopla Circus ARENA), mixing circus, catch and clown.
